- "THE NOTE IN FULL: ""[quotation withheld, 20 words; follow the citation]"". The figure is titled ""[quotation withheld, 11 words; follow the citation]""[quotation withheld, 45 words; follow the citation]"
- أدلة متعارضة
- THE NOTE IS LOOSE AS TO ITS OWN SCOPE AND THE BOOK SHOULD SAY SO IF IT QUOTES IT. It names Yemen as excluded, yet Yemen carries 3.8 in the dollar-billions panel and is missing only from the percentage-of-GDP panel. Syria is absent from both, so the looseness does not touch the Syrian point; quoting the note without noticing it would be a second-hand error
- مواضع أخرى تعتمد عليه
- Chapter 10's account of what is measured and what is not; the book's argument that an absence encoded as a number is more dangerous than an absence left blank
- قاعدة استخدامه
- USABLE IN PROSE AS THE REPLACEMENT FOR THE WITHDRAWN COMPARISON. Print the note's own words and attribute them to the brief, with its number and date. Do not extend it into a claim that Syrians abroad send nothing, or that the flow is unknown to anyone: it establishes what this publisher declined to estimate and why
