WHAT IT ESTABLISHES: that on Tuesday 25 August 2026, at the presidential palace in Damascus, Mazloum Abdi announced, in the words the report quotes, 'the end of the mission of the Syrian Democratic Forces' and 'its dissolution as an independent military force', following what he called the completion of the integration of its forces into the army's brigades. THE DATE: Al Jazeera's own 27 August report says the decree came 'three days after' the announcement, which would be 24 August; the 25 August report, dated on the day, says Tuesday, and 25 August 2026 is a Tuesday. The dated report governs and the discrepancy is recorded. WHAT IT DOES NOT ESTABLISH: anything about the oil and gas fields, metering, payment or licences, on which it is silent; nor that integration is complete on the ground, which is Abdi's statement and is reported as his. THE SPEECH ITSELF IS NOT OPENED. ROUTES NOT TRIED, executable: SANA's Arabic and English reports of the speech; the Presidency's site; the SDF's own media centre if it still publishes. Chapter 9 line 53 rests on Gulfsands' audited report for the position of the fields and may carry this announcement only as a dated, attributed later event that says nothing about the fields.

THE SPEECH AS THE STATE AGENCY REPORTS IT, OPENED 11 SEPTEMBER 2026: SANA Arabic https://sana.sy/locals/2562478/ (2026-08-25T21:58:31+03:00) and English https://sana.sy/en/syria/2338549/ (22:14:42+03:00), saved beside this. Abdi's reported words: 'انتهاء مهمة قوات سوريا الديمقراطية وحلها كقوة عسكرية مستقلة، بعد استكمال عمليات دمج قواتها ضمن ألوية الجيش السوري'; 'نريد أن يكون هذا اليوم بداية انتقال حقيقي من ساحات المعارك إلى ساحات البناء'; a passage on Kurdish-language education; a closing line on a Syria for Kurds, Arabs, Turkmen and Assyrians. NOTHING ATTRIBUTED TO HIM MENTIONS OIL, GAS, FIELDS, CROSSINGS, THE AIRPORT OR REVENUE. SANA's two closing paragraphs on ending parallel structures and 'تفعيل المديريات والمؤسسات الحكومية' are the agency's, unattributed, and may be cited only as such. The Presidency's own channel (Telegram @SyPresidency post 2623, 25 August 2026 19:23 UTC) records the meeting and 'الملفات المرتبطة بالاندماج ضمن مؤسسات الدولة السورية' and nothing of the announcement or of fields. The SDF's media centre was not tried. Al Jazeera's '24 August' discrepancy is resolved by SANA's dated reports: Tuesday 25 August 2026.
