ما الذي يقيسه، وحدوده
Estimated proved reserves of natural gas, in billion cubic feet, Syrian Arab Republic, as at 1 January of the stated year. 8,500 bcf is 8.5 trillion cubic feet
أدلة متعارضة
THE SAME CARRY-FORWARD AS THE OIL FIGURE. 8,500 is printed at 1 January 2021, 2022, 2025 and 2026, and the EIA reported the identical 8.5 tcf for January 2015 citing the same journal. The manuscript's own observation that the figure is 'not wrong so much as frozen' is confirmed and extended by five years
قيد لاحق: 28 September 2026 (D-241 item 2): The Ministry of Energy's home page (SRC-696) states natural gas reserves of 211 million cubic metres as printed, under a thousandth of this row's 8.5 trillion cubic feet; see GASRES-002.
قيد لاحق: READING OF 18 OCTOBER 2026 (D-307; سجلّ عمل داخلي part C), OO-14: the Source field called the issue of 6 December 2021 'the 2023 edition' after its filename, and is corrected. The archive editions retrieved on 16 October 2026 (SRC-788) give Syria's gas at 7,000 bcf at 1 January 1995 and 1996, 8,300 at 1997 and 1998 and 8,500 from 1 January 1999; Chapter 9 prints none of this and l.21 is unchanged.
