ما يعتمد عليه الكتاب فيها: ARTICLE 3(a): THE REPLACEMENT PERIOD IS NINETY DAYS, EXTENDABLE, BEGINNING 1 JANUARY 2026, set under Article 19 of Law No. 23 of 2002. ARTICLE 3(b): to extend it the Governor issues a decision thirty days before the current period expires. ARTICLE 4(a): the denominations replaced in this tranche are the 1000, 2000 and 5000 old Syrian pound notes, all issues. ARTICLE 4(b): the remaining old denominations STAY IN CIRCULATION and retain their discharging power at the Article 3 standard until special periods are issued for them. ARTICLE 4(c): the Governor determines the participating exchange centres, within Syrian territory exclusively. ARTICLE 5(a): both currencies circulate together with the same discharging power during the replacement periods. ARTICLE 5(b): at the end of those periods the old currency loses its discharging power, falls out of circulation and is not legally valid for financial transactions. ARTICLE 6 repeats the conversion table. ARTICLE 7: no natural or legal person may charge any commission on the old currency, directly or indirectly. ARTICLE 8: all persons must apply the replacement standard to prices of goods and services, salaries and wages, and must accept dealing in both currencies.
