Version history

The register keeps changing after the book is fixed in print. Each entry below was added to this row in the order shown.

  1. OPENED TO CLOSE THE JOINS AND VOICE PASS'S B5. The introduction asserts that a named person in its pages is real and 'the record can be checked', and NO ROW ANYWHERE IN THIS PROJECT RECORDED THE SOURCE. The claim of checkability was itself uncheckable. BOTH PEOPLE CONFIRMED AT THE DOCUMENT. 'Alaa al-Khamooneh, a mathematics teacher in Douma, Eastern Ghouta's largest city, was forced to take his profession underground in the last month to avoid bombs and aerial attacks.' And: 'said Adnan Alwan, a teacher of the social teaching project', described as 32 years old. By-line Zouhir Al Shimale, published 29 March 2018. ALSO CARRIED, and relevant to Chapter 4: 'The project runs approximately 48 basement schools in Douma, with an attendance of 3,500 students'; 'In total, 96 teachers are part of the initiative, or two teachers to each basement school'; and 'Out of Douma's 31 schools, six were totally destroyed during Syria's eight-year conflict, and a further 15 sustained partial damage'. The offensive is dated in the piece as beginning 18 February 2018. TIER 2, a news report and not an institutional document, which is the correct tier for a named person's account of their own work and which the prose must not overstate.
  2. CLAIMS FIELD CORRECTED 4 September 2026. It read 'INTRO Douma teachers; CH4 basement schools'. CHAPTER 4 CONTAINS NONE OF IT: no version of 04-title-land-legitimacy carries 'basement', 'Ghouta', 'Douma' or either teacher's name, and the approved v26 was searched at the file. The source is used in the introduction only. Found by the referent sweep of 4 September 2026; basis audits/reports/REFERENT_SWEEP_2026-09-04.md. A Claims field naming a use that does not exist reads as a finding, which is the defect CLAUDE.md names.
  3. CLAIMS FIELD CLEARED 4 September 2026 at D-182 decision 3. The introduction's line 69 removed the Douma teachers on the author's own instruction, they being the book's only named private individuals, carried over from the first edition and appearing in no chapter. THE ROW IS NOT STRUCK AND THE DOCUMENT IS NOT UNREAD: it stays in the register as a document opened and read on 14 August 2026, so the record of what was consulted survives the removal of what was cited. It has no remaining use in the manuscript and its Claims field says so rather than naming one.
