THE ENDOWMENT COUNT AND ITS ATTRIBUTION, verbatim: 'وبحسب إحصاءات وزارة الأوقاف ذاتها، فقد بلغ عدد العقارات الوقفية في سوريا نحو 33 ألفا و700 عقار موزعة كما يلي: حلب 18 ألف عقار، دمشق 8 آلاف عقار، إدلب 3 آلاف عقار، باقي المحافظات 4 آلاف عقار'. About 33,700 nationally, attributed to the Ministry of Endowments' OWN statistics: Aleppo 18,000, Damascus 8,000, Idlib 3,000, other governorates 4,000. Chapter 4 carried the first three and omitted the last two until v3. AND IT REFUTES A DIFF-REVIEW-ERA CLAIM THE CHAPTER MADE: v3 said Al Jazeera gives Samer Beirqdar 'a different office' from RT Arabic and held that up as an instance of the chapter's own subject. IT GIVES HIM BOTH IN ONE APPOSITION: 'كشف سامر بيرقدار، مدير الأوقاف في محافظة دمشق، ومعاون وزير الأوقاف لشؤون الوقف'. There was no discrepancy. ALSO HOLDS, unused: 543 endowment properties held by government institutions, and named recoveries including the Yalbugha complex.
