Quoted: Adam Jones, division president for West Arabia at Mastercard, 'we are deepening our commitment to Syria as early investors in a market undergoing meaningful transformation.' IT DOES NOT SAY ACCEPTANCE WAS LIVE. The release is forward-looking and describes the licence as a step. The chapter may therefore say that a licence was granted in January 2026 and may not date working acceptance from it.
