RETRIEVED AND READ IN FULL, 22 AUGUST 2026, retrieval H3 of the Chapter 8 gate. 32 pages, dated 'Damascus July 2009' on its face, which is the date the source manuscript gives for the publication. It is the standalone inventory report and its chapter 2 is reproduced almost verbatim as chapter 2 of SRC-319, so the two agree. IT CARRIES THE FULL TIME SERIES, which SRC-319 also has and which nothing else in this repository holds. Table 3, total GHG emissions by sector, Tg CO2 eq, 1994 to 2005. ENERGY: 38.23, 39.40, 39.06, 40.82, 44.65, 47.40, 52.66, 52.96, 54.13, 54.54, 55.60, 58.35. AGRICULTURE: 9.47, 10.32, 10.70, 10.78, 11.72, 11.04, 11.04, 9.85, 10.38, 11.74, 12.56, 13.93. INDUSTRY: 2.49, 2.71, 2.74, 2.74, 2.81, 2.88, 2.65, 3.04, 2.99, 2.95, 2.86, 2.94. WASTE: 2.47, 2.54, 2.61, 2.88, 2.95, 3.07, 3.16, 3.25, 3.45, 3.57, 3.670, 3.85. And by gas: CO2 36.16 to 58.34, CH4 9.33 to 10.19, N2O 7.17 to 10.54. THE 2005 COLUMN FOOTS: 58.35 + 13.93 + 2.94 + 3.85 = 79.07. The headline figure is the sum of its own table, which is worth saying in a book about numbers that do not hold, because most of the figures this project has checked do not do that. A TRAP TO AVOID, AND IT IS THE ONE THE MANUSCRIPT'S OWN SUBJECT WARNS ABOUT: the document states 'the share of CO2 is the highest and increased from 68% in 1994 to 74% in 2005'. THAT 74 PER CENT IS A SHARE OF GASES, NOT THE ENERGY SECTOR'S SHARE OF EMISSIONS, and it sits three paragraphs from the energy sector's 73 per cent. Two different 7x per cent figures about 2005 in adjacent passages; a passage that conflates them would be committing this book's central error inside its own evidence. WHY THIS DOCUMENT MATTERS BEYOND THE FIGURES: it is the last national accounting the Syrian state has produced, and SRC-093 records in Syria's own words that the second national communication began in 2012 and could not be completed. The inventory this book's climate arithmetic rests on stops in 2005 and the document that would replace it does not exist.
