METHOD NOTE WITHOUT WHICH THE COUNTS BELOW MISLEAD: each page returns 95KB to 135KB of HTML but only 2,825 to 4,016 characters of text, and that text is dominated by one navigation menu common to every page. The findings rest on subtracting that shared furniture, which leaves 12 to 157 tokens of genuine content per page. WHAT THE INDICATOR SERIES CARRY: the balance of payments indicator page offers ONE indicator, rasid al-hisab al-jari, the current account balance, unit 'million US dollars', frequency annual, defined as the sum of all transactions involving values between resident and non-resident parties; the international investment position page offers assets and liabilities on the same unit and frequency. ACROSS ALL FOUR PAGES hawalat returns 0, tahwilat returns 0, and al-tahwilat al-jariya, current transfers, returns 0. THAT IS A STATEMENT ABOUT THESE FOUR PAGES AND NOTHING WIDER. IT IS NOT A STATEMENT ABOUT WHAT THE BANK PUBLISHES: see SRC-493, where the Statistical Bulletin does decompose the current account and does carry a current transfers series.
