READ IN FULL 17 August 2026. ARTICLE 1(12) IS THE CHAPTER'S EXHIBIT: it deletes Articles 1a, 6, 6a, 6b, 7, 7a, 8, 9, 9a, 10, 11, 11a, 11b, 12, 13, 13a, 21, 21a, 21b, 23, 24, 25, 25a, 26 and 26a of Regulation 36/2012. Among them, at SRC-183, ARTICLE 25 WAS THE CORRESPONDENT BANKING PROHIBITION, Article 11 the prohibition on supplying Syrian banknotes and coinage to the Central Bank of Syria, Article 24 the Syrian sovereign bond prohibition, Article 23 the EIB disbursement prohibition and Article 26 insurance and reinsurance. Article 2 provides entry into force on the day following publication, which is 29 MAY 2025, WHILE THE COMMISSION'S OWN FAQ AT SRC-181 DATES THE LIFTING TO 28 MAY 2025; the discrepancy is one day and both are recorded rather than reconciled silently. What is retained: the asset freeze at the replaced Article 14 and the Annex II listing categories at the replaced Article 15, which name the al-Assad and Makhlouf families, ministers in power between May 2011 and December 2024, officers of colonel rank and above in that period, and the chemical weapons sector.
