READ 17 August 2026 AT ARTICLES 11, 12, 13, 21, 23, 24, 25 AND 26 ONLY, to establish what SRC-178 deleted. Article 25(1) prohibited EU credit and financial institutions from opening a new bank account with, or ESTABLISHING A NEW CORRESPONDENT BANKING RELATIONSHIP WITH, any Syrian credit or financial institution, and from opening a representative office, branch, subsidiary or joint venture in Syria; 25(2) barred the reciprocal presence in the Union. Article 11 prohibited supplying new Syrian denominated banknotes and coinage printed or minted in the Union to the Central Bank of Syria. Article 24 prohibited dealing in Syrian public or public-guaranteed bonds issued after 19 January 2012.
