WHY THIS ROW EXISTS. SRC-415 establishes that no World Bank API series carries a Syrian remittance observation after 2010, and the Chapter 10 brief and CAP-014 both carried 3.7 billion for 2023. The remaining candidate source is KNOMAD's Migration and Development Brief, whose estimates are published as spreadsheet annexes rather than through the indicator API. ROUTE ONE, KNOMAD DIRECTLY. knomad.org serves the SAME 33,189-BYTE HTML PAGE for both /sitemap.xml and /robots.txt, which is a single-page application answering every path with its shell. THERE IS NO INDEX TO SEARCH and no path may be guessed from it. ROUTE TWO, THE WORLD BANK'S DATA CATALOGUE API, which hosts the KNOMAD datasets. datacatalogapi.worldbank.org returned HTTP 429, rate limited, on four attempts across two runs with pauses of 15 and 20 seconds. THAT IS A TRANSIENT FAILURE AND IT SHOULD BE RETRIED, not treated as an absence. WHAT MAY NOT BE CONCLUDED FROM THIS ROW. Nothing about whether the 3.7 billion exists.
