  1. RETRIEVED TO CLOSE THE BAR AT MIN-786 AND IT OVERTURNED A RECORD OF THIS PROJECT'S OWN. SYRIA'S ROWS, VERBATIM FROM THE THREE SHEETS. Flare volume in bcm: 2024 0.73763427274849, 2025 0.62810902885103. Flaring intensity in cubic metres per barrel: 2024 37.3186270718587, 2025 22.8694348753334. Oil production in thousand barrels a day: 2024 54.1530054644808, 2025 75.2465753424657. EVERY FIGURE IN THE MANUSCRIPT'S FLARING CLUSTER IS EXACT AGAINST THIS DATASET: 0.74 and 0.63, 37.32 and 22.87, and 54,200 and 75,200 to the nearest hundred. THE 54,200 IS THE WORLD BANK'S OWN FIGURE and the manuscript's attribution is correct; three records of this project said no retrieved document carried it and all three are corrected. THE DISCREPANCY IS INSIDE THE WORLD BANK AND IS THE BETTER FINDING: this dataset gives Syrian 2024 crude production as 54,153 barrels a day, and the Bank's own June 2025 macro-fiscal assessment gives 63,000, which is also what the Oil and Gas Journal gives independently. One institution, two series, a 16 per cent difference, and the flaring intensity the Bank publishes is computed on the lower one. THE ONE DEFECT IN THE MANUSCRIPT STANDS: it states the volume decline as 0.08, and 0.73763 less 0.62811 is 0.1095, which the report's Figure 15 prints as -0.11. THE SERIES ALSO SHOWS WHAT THE CHAPTER MAY NOT SAY: Syrian flaring intensity ran 8.4, 16.2, 29.0, 47.8, 81.8 and 215.5 across 2012 to 2017 before falling back, so a two-year comparison of 2024 against 2025 sits inside a series that has moved by a factor of twenty-five, and the 2017 value of 215.5 is not an outlier to be dropped silently. NOT READ: the other 104 country rows, the individual flare-location dataset, and the 2012-2024 edition of the same tables, which would show whether these values are themselves revised between editions.
