READ 24 September 2026. A new CPR by OPC 'effective / dated 1 May 2026'. Table headed Reserves (Gulfsands net 50% working interest), columns labelled 1C 2C 3C: 47.1, 78.5, 121.4 MMboe; table headed Contingent Resources, columns 1C 2C 3C: 7.5, 26.9, 50.9 MMboe. The estimate assumes the force majeure period 'will ultimately be added as an equivalent time period extension', and 'Discussions are underway with the Syrian Petroleum Company' to confirm it.
The report itself (OPC's CPR dated 1 May 2026) is not held. Tried on 24 September 2026 (H-2 of audits/reports/d226_ch09_v32_retest_2026-09-24.md): the site's own search and media API for 'CPR', 'competent person' and 'OPC', and a web search, logged at research/CH9_GULFSANDS_2026-09-24/route_log.tsv; none returned the report. Not yet tried: a request to Gulfsands, which needs the author. The prose attributes the figures to the company's page, not to the report.

The page was modified again on 25 September 2026, before the closing date of 28 September 2026: the copy retrieved on 16 October 2026 (SRC-792) carries modified_time 2026-09-25T13:13:46+00:00 and heads the Reserves table 1P 2P 3P, with the figures (47.1, 78.5, 121.4 MMboe) and the Contingent Resources table (1C 2C 3C; 7.5, 26.9, 50.9) unchanged. Chapter 9 v40 l.51 now dates the 24 September reading and gives the 25 September version as read on 16 October 2026, after this book's closing date.
