Version history
The register keeps changing after the book is fixed in print. Each entry below was added to this row in the order shown.
VERIFIED AT THE TABLE: inflation 129.9 per cent in 2023, 72.1 in 2024 and 11.5 in 2025; fiscal balance minus 7.7 per cent of GDP in 2023, minus 5.1 in 2024 and PLUS 1.4 IN 2025; real GDP growth 0.3, 0.9 and a 2.0 to 4.0 range. All rows are marked provisional and may diverge from official projections. A LIVE TRAP, AND IT IS THIS BOOK'S OWN SUBJECT ARRIVING IN ITS OWN MATERIALS. The World Bank's FISCAL BALANCE is plus 1.4 per cent of GDP IN 2025. SRC-137's SCPR finding is that TOTAL SUBSIDIES TURNED INTO A NET SURPLUS of 1.4 per cent of GDP IN 2024. TWO DIFFERENT QUANTITIES, ON TWO DIFFERENT YEARS, SHARING THE NUMERAL 1.4. Placed side by side without measure and year they read as corroboration and are not. Every use of either states measure, year and publisher, and the two are never joined. AN ABSENCE, SCOPED: the earlier manuscript attributes 'revenue collection under 5 per cent of GDP' to this document. IT IS NOT IN IT. The Syria page runs to two pages and its table carries five indicators only, with no revenue-to-GDP row and no such figure in the narrative. Searched for 'revenue', 'percent of GDP' and '5'. That is an absence in this document, not an absence in the world, and the claim cannot be printed until the document that carries it is opened.
