TABLE 5/11 OF THE 2007 EDITION, VERBATIM TOTALS (column 'المجمــوع Total'): 2002 128903; 2003 205942; 2004 229332; 2005 223496; 2006 225904. 2002 splits as state 124339, UNRWA 1118, private 3446. Governorate rows for 2006 (Damascus 15035 ... Quneitra 5547). FOOTNOTE VERBATIM: '2002 data and years before included only brimary [sic] / بيانات عام 2002 وما قبل تضم الإبتدائي فقط'. So 2002 is primary (grades 1 to 6) and 2003 to 2006 are the nine grades of basic education; the 2003 to 2006 figures are not comparable with the Institute's primary series (grades 1 to 4 in those years, SE.PRM.DURS at SRC-786). INTRODUCTIONS, VERBATIM: 2011 edition 'Indicators for 2010' ... 'Average of pupils no. per teacher in the basic education is:17.0'; 2012 'Main Indicators for 2011' ... 17.0; 2013 'Main Indicators for 2012' ... 21.0; 2014 'Main Indicators for 2013' ... 15.0; 2015 'Some Main Indicators for 2014' ... 16.0 (the PDFs' Arabic lines are mirrored; the figures were read from the English lines). THE 2002 COMPARISON (T-4): the Institute (SRC-305) gives 114,676 primary teachers for 2002, the Bureau 128,903, 12.4 per cent higher (my arithmetic), [STRUCK 18 OCTOBER 2026 (RETEST_07_09 RT07-2) AND QUOTED: 'for the same six grades (pupils identical'] with pupils for the same six grades (pupils identical, SRC-786 and SRC-783's 2011 edition; that the teacher counts cover the same grades is an inference, TEACH-001).
