The GDP loss of US$799.4 billion is a modelled counterfactual at constant 2010 prices, being the cumulative gap between actual real GDP and a projection assuming steady 5 per cent annual growth without conflict, to end 2024. The physical capital destruction of US$123.3 billion is not a Development Programme assessment at all: annexe I-2 states it is ESCWA's 2020 estimate of US$117.7 billion, plus US$5.1 billion of 2023 earthquake damage estimated by the World Bank in its GRADE report, plus US$0.5 billion from localised battles estimated by the study team. The held PDF prints no date; it is the later file named undp-sy-seia-final-24022025 (PDF metadata creation 25 February 2025), first recorded by the Wayback CDX on 15 March 2025, and 24 February came from that file name (audits/reports/article02_review_2026-10-14/REVIEW.md, A2-1). Page citations (p.11, p.47) are to the held revision. The local file name is left as it is on disk.
